This keeps the scoring flexible because the player pairings/match-ups can be entered without hard-coding them into the site. There are 8 match-result slots: 2 in Round 1, 2 in Round 2 and 4 in Round 3. Once a result is saved, the front-end cup scoreboard recalculates automatically.
